On 12th September 2023, ENVICCO limited has received approval from European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), which PCR PET obtained from ENVICCO process can be used up to 100%
for the manufacture of materials and articles for contact with all types of foodstuffs. (https://www.efsa.europa.eu)
With a state-of-the-art recycling technology, ENVICCO’s mechanical recycling process, which is designed for bottle-to-bottle recycling by using 100% Thailand’s post-consumer waste bottle, can produce a high-quality PCR-PET resin for food application under the brand “InnoEco”, which the Company can now expand our contribution to support customers locally and internationally, whose require EFSA standard for producing food contact packaging to achieve their sustainable goals.
With a vast experience from shareholders in recycling business, plastic business and bottling business, ENVICCO has developed an end-to-end process control; starting from feedstock sourcing to resin production in order to produce a high-quality product and serve customer needs. A strong waste collecting network across Thailand via an in-house waste management application platform “Youturn” have been developed and a local communities’ network via waste community hub program have been established, the Company can both obtain high-quality post-consumer waste for a resin production as well as be able to create job for local workforce and creating a plastic circular economy across the whole supply chain.
In addition to EFSA approval, ENVICCO also received US-FDA approval as well as, in recently, became the first and the only company that received Thai-FDA approval without any limitation on bottle’s sizing. ENVICCO also received Good Hygiene Practice Standard (GHP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) as a management system to ensure food safety is addressed and provided to customer through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product.
ENVICCO 45,000-ton total production capacity annually can positively contribute to the environment. Not only that ENVICCO can collect more than 60,000 ton of plastic waste per year, but the Company can also reduce greenhouse gas emission 75,000-ton CO2 equivalent per year, which equivalent to a plantation of 8 million trees.
